Store Settings

How to configure your Store Settings, including visibility, SEO, connecting PayPal, currency, shipping country, confirmation emails and more

Access Store Settings

  1. In the left sidebar navigate to Portfolio > 'Store'

  2. Click 'Settings'

  1. Store Name

  2. Store Visibility: set as Online, Private or Offline, see below

  3. Store Path: this is the path to your store page in your URL, it is best to match your Store Name and to only change this path when necessary as it may negatively affect your SEO

Store Visibility options

  1. Use the dropdown link to activate

  2. Online: (default) your store will be live and accessible to anyone

  3. Private: your store will be accessible only to those with the password

  4. Offline: your store and all of its products will not be editable or accessible online


SEO Optimization

  1. SEO Optimization: indicator (showing Complete) with a Search Preview below showing how the SEO Store Title and SEO Store Description would appear in search engine results once indexed (changes made here can take several days to be crawled and re-indexed by search engine bots. See our Search Engine Optimization (SEO) guide

  2. SEO Store Title: this will appear in the search result for this page. Write a descriptive and unique page title

  3. SEO Store Description: write a description for your page that includes relevant keywords. The maximum length is 255 characters but it's best to keep it below 160 characters

Paypal Connected Account, Shopping Country and Currency

  1. Connected Account: with PayPal will display with Account ID (when connected) or you will have the option to Connect

  2. Shipping Country: the country your products will be shipped from will determine when your customers should be charged for domestic shipping

  3. Currency: choose the currency that you wish to use to sell your products

Order and Shipping Messages and Notifications

  1. Order Confirmation Message: all customers will automatically receive a confirmation email with their order details. Add an optional custom message to accompany the confirmation email, maybe include your telephone number or other ways of contacting you

  2. Send test email to the Site Contact email address so you can view how this will appear when an order is made. See Site Contact Email, Sender Name and Logo for Emails below

  3. Shipping Message: Customers who purchase a physical product will alos receive an email when their order is marked as Shipped. Add an option custom message to accompany the shipping email.

  4. Notifications: you can 'Disable email notifications' or 'Email me about each sale as it happens (default)

Always Save Changes (top-right).

  2. Your name will appear as the Sender but the email address will be from no-reply@portfoliomail.com

  3. Logo for Emails appears if set, otherwise the Sender Name would show in text

Site Contact Email, Sender Name and Logo for Emails

These details can be changed under the Settings > Site Settings pane.

  1. From the lower-left sidebar click 'Settings'

  2. Click 'Site'

  3. Scroll down

  4. Site Contact Email: this can be different to your Format account email address, change here

  5. Sender Name: you can have your personal name, or a more generic business-style name

  6. Logo for Emails: upload a logo to be included in emails from yoru site. For best results, use a logo that will show up against a white background, that is at least 200px wide.

  7. Ability to 'Change Email Logo' or

  8. Link to 'Remove email logo'. If no logo is used, the Sender Name will appear instead

  9. Save Changes and return to the Store > Settings area (if necessary)


Cover Image and Disable Store

  1. Scroll to the very bottom of the Store Settings pane

  2. Edit Cover Image: the first Product you add to your Store will have it's cover image shown as the default for your overall Store but you can change this here, and replace with another image

  3. Disable Store option

If you disable a Warning will be displayed advising: "Your store and product pages will not be accessible online but won't be deleted. You will be able to re-enable your store later.
