This may allow the Pinterest 'Pin' button to appear over images on your website. Not all themes support this.
Pinterest Settings
From your Pinterest account click the dropdown in the top-right corner once logged in
Click 'Settings'
From the left sidebar click 'Claimed accounts'
Next to Websites, click 'Claim'
Choose how you want to claim
Add HTML tag is the simplest way
Add TXT record (to your custom domain name DNS Records) is an alternative
Using the TXT record will require you to access your domain registrar's control panel and add a verification record to the DNS zone. If your custom domain name is provided by Format, our team can add this for you.
Go to steps here.
First Option: Add HTML tag
Hover the code and 'Click to copy'
Click 'Continue'
Return to your Format Account.
Site Settings
From the lower-left sidebar click 'Settings'
Click 'Site'
Scroll down
Stop at Custom <head> include area
Read Warning about adding code and click 'Continue Anyway'
Paste in HTML Tag
Custom <head> Include
Paste in the HTML tag
'Save Changes'
You will also need to add the following JavaScript snippet, this ensures that the Pinterest 'Save' button appears over the top-left corner of images in your site.
Copy and Paste the following code to the same Custom <head> Include field

Second Option: Add TXT record

'Continue'
You will now need to either log into your domain registrar for the next steps. Or, if your custom domain name is provided by Format, start a live chat with our team and send the code snippet to us requesting that this be added to your domain's DNS records.

This step will appear different from our screenshots as each domain registrar has its own user interface to work with.
Add a new TXT record and 'Paste' the code from above
