You can upload videos directly from your computer to your Gallery Pages.
This article covers the process of adding Hosted Video to a Gallery Page. If you don't know how to create Gallery Page, please see our Create a Gallery Page article first. For more information on recommended file export settings for videos and common errors, please see our How to directly upload Hosted Video from your own devices article.
Uploading Hosted Videos
Video elements are added to your Gallery Pages the same way as other page elements (images, text elements, etc.).
- Add Item: Click Add Item to bring up the element dropdown menu
- Video: Select Video from the dropdown
- Upload Video: Click this button to upload a video file from your computer. Video files can be up to 20GB large
- Import from Format: Copy a hosted video from another one of your site's pages
- Import from Dropbox: Import a video file from your Dropbox account
Your video will take time to process once it is uploaded. The processing time varies depending on the file size of your video. Your video will not be live on your site until it has fully processed. This processing happens in the background, and you do not need to leave the page open for it to process.
Videos that are processing will be indicated by the following placeholder thumbnail:
- Thumbnail showing that your video is still processing
Once your video has finished processing, the thumbnail will be replaced with a still image from your video, and you'll have additional editing options available to you.
- Change Thumbnail: Select a still from your video or upload a custom thumbnail
- Replace Video: Upload a different video in this video's place
- Delete: Delete your video
- Add Caption: Add a caption to your video
Video player design options
There are a number of playback options available, which can be accessed from your site's Design panel.
Navigate to your site's Design > Theme > Gallery Pages > View All area, where you can edit the colors and general design options for video players on your Gallery Pages. Please note, these options only affect hosted videos on your Gallery Pages.
- Colors: Change the colors of video player elements such as Video Player Color, Video Play Icon Color, Video Player Accent Color, and more. There is also the option to loop videos
