Blog posts are ordered chronologically, and can be reordered by changing the Published Date.
While it's not possible to click-and-drag Blog posts into order, you can rearrange them by changing the Published Date for individual Blog posts.
Viewing current Blog post order on Live Site
From your primary Blog page on your live site, you can view the order of your blog posts, along with their Published Date:
In the above example, two Blog posts (Summer in Venice and Mountain Trail Photography) are ordered chronologically in descending order. I.e. the Blog posts with the most recent Published Date will appear at the top of the list of Blog posts. In this case, Summer in Venice is listed above Mountain Trail Photography.
Changing the Published Date for your Blog posts
From within your Portfolio > Blog panel, click the "..." ellipse on a Blog post to display more options, then select Edit Settings.
- Navigate to the Blog panel
- Click the "..." ellipse next to the post you want to edit
- Click Edit Settings
From here, you will be brought to your Blog post's individual settings. Every Blog post in your Blog has their own individual settings that can be adjusted to your desired settings.
- From within your Blog post's individual settings, navigate to Published Date
- Click on the current Published Date (currently set to December 17th, 2024 in the above example)
- Change the Published Date (changed to December 20th, 2024 in the above example)
- Save Changes
Viewing new Blog post order on Live Site
You can now navigate back to your live site and view your primary Blog page. You should see the order of your Blog posts has changed, provided that you have altered the Published Date so that at least one Blog post was "published" earlier or later than another Blog post:
For the above example, Mountain Trail Photography is now listed above Summer in Venice. This process can be followed to reorder any of your Blog posts, however please note that it is only possible to set the Published Date to the current date and time, or a date and time in the past. It is not possible to set a Published Date to a date and time in the future.
