You can connect your domain name to your Format site one of three ways.
Purchase a Domain Name through Format
Format offers domain name hosting for domain names using any of the following TLDs: .com, .net, .org, .ca, .xyz, or .me
You can purchase a domain name from within your account's Settings > Domain and Email area. Domain name hosting costs $30/yr, or $75 every 3 years. All prices are in USD.
If you have a Pro Yearly or Pro Plus Yearly plan for your site, the first year of domain hosting is provided for free. Subsequent renewals are billed at the standard cost.

Transfer an external Domain Name into Format
If you have a domain name with a third-party registrar like GoDaddy or Hover, you can transfer your domain name into Format. This allows you to keep your website expenses all in one spot, and allows you to manage your domain name's renewal and DNS records from within your Format account.
Keep in mind, Format can currently only host the following TLDs: .com, .net, .org, .ca, .xyz, or .me
If you have a Pro Yearly or Pro Plus Yearly plan for your site, the first year of domain hosting is provided for free. Subsequent renewals are billed at the standard cost.

Connect a third-party Domain Name to your Format site using DNS Records
If your domain doesn't use a supported TLD, or you simply do not want to transfer your domain name to Format, you can connect it to your Format site free of charge. This will require that you add specific DNS records to your domain name's DNS management area within your domain registrar.
For an overview of this, see our How to connect a custom domain name article.
