How to set your page’s URL

Setting each page’s URL can improve how the page is displayed in the web browser’s address bar.

We try to do this automatically based on the page name, but if you change the name of the page, you should check that the URL matches.

Set Page Name (Title) and URL

  1. Navigate to Pages

  2. Hover and click '…' ellipse for the dropdown menu

  3. Click 'Rename'

  1. Edit the page name

  2. Edit the URL. A unique URL is required for every page in your site.

  3. Click 'Done'

Rename through Page Title

  1. You can also activate the Rename panel by clicking the page name OR:

Rename through Pages > Settings Panel

  1. Page Title

  2. The Gallery URL should be set to match your page’s Title already, ensure it isn't empty (see more below).

  3. Add your Description, it should be specific to the content of this page. The description will only be shown in search engine results, it will not be visible on your site. Your description should be between 150-160 characters. Example: Teams cycled to the picturesque Lake Tekapo in the Mckenzie District of the South Island of New Zealand. It is recommended to match the Title and URL for each page, as the Page Title appears alongside the Site Title in search engine results, and at the top of the browser window (or tab).

The URL is the unique address of your page and should be lowercase with a hyphen between each word.

Example: outdoor-bw  or travelling-around-italy
