You can create a Custom Page by using one of our premade Templates.
When creating a new Custom Page, you will have the option to either start from scratch or use one of our premade Templates. Using a Template will populate your Custom Page with a mix of custom sections, which you can then add your own content to.
Please note: Selecting a Custom Page Template only imports the sections used in that template. It does not import the design settings shown in the Custom Page Template preview. Design settings can instead be adjusted from your site's Design tab.
Start from Scratch or use a Custom Page Template
Once you have created a Custom Page, you can choose to either Start from Scratch or Select a Custom Page Template:
- Click Add Section to view and select individual Custom Page Sections
- Click Select a Template to view and select premade Custom Page Templates
View Available Custom Page Templates
Once you click Select a Template in the previous section, you will presented with many options:
- About: Templates for About pages, including a mix of image and text sections.
- Contact: Templates for Contact pages, including a mix of image, text, and form sections.
- Resume: Templates for Resume pages, including a mix of text and divider sections.
- Story: Templates for photo essay pages, including a mix of image and text sections.
- Title Page: Templates for splash pages, including image or video backgrounds, text sections, and links. Read more about Title Pages here.
- Home Page: Templates for Home Pages, including a mix of many different section types, based on home pages from some of our most popular themes' demo sites.
- Please note that Custom Page Templates will use the layout shown in the preview, but not the Design settings. Design settings for your selected template can be managed from your site's Design tab. Some Custom Page Sections may have their own settings, as well.

Resume Page Templates
Resume Templates can be used to create a resume or CV for display on your website. Resume Templates consist of text and divider sections to organize your work experience into functional, readable segments.
If you would like to add a downloadable PDF of your resume instead, you can view our guide here.
Story Page Templates

How to Select a Custom Page Template
Once you have found a Custom Page Template that you would like to use, you can simply click on it to apply it to your page. The sections from that Template will then automatically populate on your page. If the Template you've chosen uses text sections, those sections will include placeholder text.
For the purpose of this article, we've chosen the following Home Page template:
Once we select this template, the sections will populate in the page editor and look like this:
- A blank Image Set section which you can upload images to
- You can click Add Section to add additional Custom Page Sections
- You can delete Custom Page Sections (this is permanent if you Save Changes afterwards)
- You can click and drag Custom Page Sections to reorder them on your page
- A text section with placeholder text. You can click the text to edit it
- You can Preview your page as-is from within the page editor
- We recommend you Save Changes to your page often
Scrolling down, there are many more sections, including a Slideshow section and additional image and text sections. To read more in-depth about how to edit Custom Pages and Custom Page Sections, please see our Custom Page Overview guide, as well as our Custom Page Help Desk collection.
When to use a Custom Page Template
Custom Page Templates can be used as a starting point for a page if you're unsure how to begin on your own. Once you select a Custom Page Template, the sections within that Template will be added to your page, and you can input your own content into those sections. You can also choose to remove or reorder any of the sections on your page, as well as add new sections.
Custom Page Templates are convenient because they provide you with building blocks for a page, but you are not required to use all of them, and you can change your Template at any time.
